Post 5: Changes to my study programme

The changes I would make to my program of study (journalism) would be to remove the subject of reportage, because I don't like it and it is also a review of knowledge, I would also change the teacher in charge, because she doesn't know how to teach. I feel that the course is very long, it could last less time if the filler subjects were removed.

The academic load is very varied, depending on the branch and the time of the year in which we find ourselves, generally the subjects with the greatest academic load are those that involve a great deal of research for the completion of the work or project. Sometimes teachers, when the end of the semester is soon they can think is a good idea ask for work in their subject for the same due date or week and a mess is formed with the academic load, not all teachers do it but the majority of them.

Talking about infrastructure, in my opinion it is very basic and the space is small, the gray walls are sad, they could have some color or maybe a more modern infrastructure, also more green areas, they are very few.

As for the technology that students can use, it is good, it could be improved, obviously but it is good and the audiovisual equipment is very good.

The teaching methods are good, there are clearly exceptions, but the majority of teachers are trained and are very good, excellent.

Topic: A class that you enjoyed at school or university

The Spanish class I like the most, the teacher, Sonia Baeza, was so cute. This classes are so entertaining for me because I like this subject and always participate off this.

I enjoyed the way she taught it, she was entertaining and made me laugh. many people were afraid of her or said she was bad person, but she a beautiful person.

 

Post 4: Time travel to the past or future

If I could travel back in time I would go to the past, I would like to go to the Egypt’s pyramids and see how they were really built and end the curiosity about all the theories that exist, to know if it was the aliens or the people of that time, also the theories and analysis about UFOs and aliens I like a lot, it is an interesting topic.

I wouldn’t like to stay in that place, I would only go there to know, but I wouldn’t live there, because I like places with a lot of nature, trees, vegetation, flowers, the beach, not so much the desert or arid places.

The Egypt’s pyramids have always caught my attention, it seems to me a good place to know, to be transported to that time would be great, to know the kind of life and culture that they had at that time is very interesting, plus in the movies always represent them as very large and full of traps, riddles and labyrinths, plus the symbols on the walls must be spectacular.

A few days ago I saw a chapter of the backyardigans with my niece, the chapter was about the Egypt’s pyramids, the Nile River and the pharaohs and for a children's series was quite entertaining, thinking about that chapter, if I would travel to the past to know the Egypt’s pyramids.

Post 3: My Dream Job

I’m studying journalism and this is my second year, my dream job is to have a cultural program in which I can travel and show the different types of life that exist around the world, also to be able to show the diverse landscapes, nature and historical monuments, places of great importance worldwide.

I have always liked to travel, so I hope to be able to work with that, I imagine myself in front of the camera doing what I like and sharing with the people of the place where I am.

When someone asks me what I want to do, to make it clearer I give the example of Pancho Saavedra with his program "Lugares que hablan" is the simplest way to say what I want to do in the future.

Some places I would like to visit with my program in the future would be Australia obviously, the south of Chile, Saigon, Bali and many more places, if it were up to me I would travel the whole world.

This is how I imagine my dream job, maybe by traveling the world I can create notes about the places I'm in and reach more audiences, both audiovisual and written. Since I was little I have had this in mind, I hope that someday I can get it.

Post 2: The best Holidays/Concert ever

 On December 10 and 11, 2019 Shawn Mendes came to Chile, he is my favorite singer and I wanted very much to go to see him, so my older brother gave me the ticket for December 11, the concert was at the Movistar Arena, located in Parque O'Higgins.

For those who do not know him, he is a Canadian artist, currently 24 years old, he started uploading videos on YouTube and Vine (application similar to Tiktok a few years ago), until he became very recognized, and then released his single "Stitches" and jump to fame until now, which has 4 albums, some of them with Deluxe version, in addition to collaborations with great artists.

Well, the day of the concert I was very anxious, when entering the venue you could feel the euphoria of the people and when Shawn came out on stage everything was a sea of emotions, of not believing that you are there, of joy, a lot of emotion and too much adrenaline to jump and sing all the songs with great force.

I have had the opportunity to go to several concerts, but the one I liked the most was the one of Shawn Mendes, he is my favorite singer, the feeling of being there and the sound that is generated in the place is incredible, it was an incredible moment, where I went through many emotions, certainly something I will never forget.

As an anecdote, that day for running when they opened the doors and get a good place, I broke my pants, but it was totally worth it.

Post 1: A Country I would Like to Visit

I have always wanted to visit Australia, since I can remember. I remember telling my family and friends that my dream is to visit that country, I don't know where this obsession came from, but when I started to grow up, I researched more about this country, its nature and incredible landscapes (in my opinion) were the ones that enchanted me.

I would love to visit the Sydney Opera House, its beaches, its flora and fauna, although my friends tell me that the insects are gigantic and I could die if one bites me, they are just exaggerating, yes there are dangerous animals, but I just have to be careful, although I must say that I don't like insects.

I have an aunt who lives in Australia and one of her visits to Chile, she brought me back souvenirs and I must admit that they are my most precious treasures, I look at them and I say that one day I will be there. I would love to live in Australia, work in Australia or if not go to study english, or go with a work and holiday, whatever I do in Australia I would be living my dream, literally.
